Circus of Stars

Kids for Jesus Club

What is K4J, you ask? K4J is a series of monthly programs that motivate kids to live virtue and love Christ through their Catholic faith. Each month the kids receive a mission pack filled with activities that develop good habits and build upon the virtue of the month. We currently are not running the monthly program due to lack of volunteers.  If you would like to learn how to become a volunteer for this virtues based program please contact Mr. Eschenfelder at the parish office 727-391-4661.

K4J was brought to Blessed Sacrament by Eric & Teryl Plaisance over ten years ago with our first Vacation Bible School. After two years of VBS, Becky Moultrie caught the K4J spirit and, along with the Plaisance family and several other parishioners, established the K4J monthly club in the parish. Through meetings once a month, kids learn a new virtue and about a different saint in the same fun format of VBS.

Over the years K4J had expanded to the Faith Formation classes in grades 1–4. In addition to Faith Formation students, K4J continues to be open to kids ages 4 through grade 4. It’s a great introduction for the little ones who are pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten age to learn about the love of Jesus for the Church. The cost is just $50 for the summer program.

During the summer program, K4J offers a leadership in training program for kids in grades 5–8 called K4J Captains. These kids get to lead the younger ones in skits, songs, and other fun activities. There is no club fee for this age group. High school and adults helpers are always welcome and appreciated!

K4J Summer Program will be June 22-26, 2020.  This year the theme is Surfin with the Spirit!  Come celebrate the Parish turning 60 years old and see what the Saints have done to show us how to know, love and serve God!
