Spring 2011 Luncheon

The Ave Maria Guild is a group of dedicated women with special devotion to the Blessed Mother.  Their main goal is to assist the pastor in spiritual and financial needs.  The religious articles store, known as Mary’s Cove, is a significant source of income along with other fundraisers, enabling the Guild to donate monies to many charities.  One of the primary charities is ‘The Good Samaritan Mission’ in Wimauma, which assists migrants and other needy families in Central Florida.
In addition to operating Mary’s Cove, one of the Guild’s most successful fundraisers is the annual Nickel Social, held in February each year.  As highlighted in a previous newsletter, the Guild also hosts two luncheons per year at the Bardmoor Country Club.  Along with a monthly meeting at the Parish Center held on the first Monday after the first Sunday, Guild members gather on the first Sunday of the month at 8:30 AM for a Communion Mass, to remember their intentions and pray for their deceased members.  The Guild is always open to new members.  If you are interested, please call Joyce Ehrbar at 727-393-6029 or email her at WEnJOY@tampabay.rr.com.  You will be warmly welcomed.
