Kids for Jesus Club
What is K4J, you ask? K4J is a series of monthly programs that motivate kids to live virtue and love Christ through their Catholic faith. Each month the kids receive a mission pack filled with activities that develop good habits and build upon the virtue of the month.
K4J was brought to Blessed Sacrament by Eric & Teryl Plaisance over seven years ago with our first Vacation Bible School. After two years of VBS, Becky Moultrie caught the K4J spirit and, along with the Plaisances and several other parishioners, established the K4J monthly club in the parish. Through meetings once a month, kids learn a new virtue and about a different saint in the same fun format of VBS.
Over the years K4J has expanded to the Faith Formation classes in grades 1–4. In addition to Faith Formation students, K4J continues to be open to kids ages 4 through grade 4. It’s a great introduction for the little ones who are pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten age to learn about the love of Jesus for the Church. The cost is just $30 for the whole year.
K4J also offers a leadership in training program for kids in grades 5–8 called K4J Captains. These kids get to lead the younger ones in skits, songs, and other fun activities. There is no club fee for this age group. High school and adults helpers are always welcome and appreciated!
K4J Club meetings will are on the first Sunday of the month from 10am-11am
