Mission The mission of Youth Ministry at Blessed Sacrament Church is to connect the youth of our parish; to learn, celebrate, and serve as members of the Catholic Community and to grow in their understanding of Christ's message. The Middle School and High School Students will learn how their faith and talents enrich their lives and the lives of those they meet. Youth Ministry meets a few Sunday's a month and also gathers for service projects, fun outings and retreats throughout the year. Focus This year the focus will be on the Eucharist: Source and Summit of Life and Mission of the Church for Youth Groups as presented by the Bishop and the Diocese of St. Petersburg. We will also be learning from and about St. Paul. The Catholic Church has designated "The Year of St. Paul" from June 2008 – June 2009. "From (St. Paul) we draw a very important lesson: what counts is to place Jesus Christ at the center of our lives, so that our identity is marked essentially by the encounter, by communion with Christ and his Word." ~ Pope Benedict XVI, The Apostles |
